Shakira will never return to her acting roots — because she was a “terrible” actress.The Hips Don’t Lie singer, 32, started out as an actress in a bid to get famous –but she was so bad, she never wants to appear on screen again.
“I acted once — years ago,” she says. “I was such a terrible actress, so I stopped. I’m always making up excuses not to take up any roles that I’m being offered.
“I don’t know. I am very unsure about my skills as an actress so I don’t know.”
The Colombian star recently revealed that she used to find it really “difficult” when it came to writing songs — because she had to look up every word in an English-Spanish dictionary.
“Writing songs used to be so difficult for me,” said Shakira, whose latest album is mostly in English. “A few years ago I could barely speak English and I used to write my songs with a dictionary.
