New York Post Interview with New York & Tango of VH1's 'I Love New York'

VH1 loves New York, but New York loves Tango.

Brassy Tiffany Pollard may not have been able to land veteran rapper Flavor Flav on "Flavor of Love," but she reeled in upcoming hip-hopper Patrick "Tango" Hunter, 27, on last night's finale of "I Love New York."

"You never saw it on TV, but Tango and I used to spend a lot of time together at night," Pollard told The Post. "And an hour-long show is never enough to fit everything in."

New York chose Tango over Chance, a music producer, after whittling down a field of 20 suitors with the help of her opinionated mom, Sister Patterson.

In the over-the-top finale last night, Chance and Tango threatened to kill each other during a three-way date in Mexico and had to be separated until the final elimination.

"My mom really did like Tango," coos New York. "He's very religious, but he's also got a bad side and I like that - there's enough of him to go around."

The episode was filmed about four months ago, and the pair haven't been allowed to see each other since. They've kept in touch, says New York, by talking on the phone and e-mailing each other dirty pictures.

"I can't believe she told you about that," says Tango, who's seriously considering moving from his home in Tampa, Fla., to be with New York in Los Angeles. They were planning to watch the finale together last night in California, he says.

"I might be based out of Tampa, but I'm seriously considering relocation, I decided I would go for broke on the show, and I'm not gonna look back," he says.

"Tango is gonna have to make some time for New York now," says New York. "He's got some work to do."

New York lived in Utica, N.Y., until two years ago when she was picked to be a contestant on "Flavor of Love," a dating show where she competed against a house full of women to win the heart of rapper Flavor Flav.

He gave Pollard the nickname New York because of where she grew up and her outlandish personality. New York ended up becoming the arch-nemesis of everyone on the show except Flav, who dumped her twice, each time during the final episodes of the series' two seasons.

Soon after, New York said she had "no feelings for Flav because of his 'ignorocity'."

Both seasons produced some of VH1's best ratings ever, and the network offered New York her own dating show this year.

I Love New York - The Final Two Men

Miss New York has the men of 'I Love New York' narrowed down to the Top 2.

'Real'(Ahmad Givens), the 26-year-old data entry specialist and musician from Anaheim was given the axe this week leaving his younger brother 'Chance' (Kamal Givens), a 25 year old music producer from Anaheim, and 'Tango' (Patrick Hunter) a 27 year old record label owner.

Real said he had genuine feelings for Tiffany but that he knew that his brother was better suited for her.
But boy did he bawl like a baby after he was cut.

First off, I knew from the very beginning that it would be Chance who would be in the final round. I still think he is going to win.

Think about it, Chance and Tiffany are the perfect couple. They both demand attention, they both think their shit don't stink and they are both immature. What a match made in heaven they are.

They'll run off together, have wild animal sex for a couple of weeks, get in drunken fights, she'll cry, he'll throw stuff, they'll have more sex and then the passion will turn to animosity.

    But that's just my prediction.

I highly doubt that New York will choose Tango because he is just not a very exciting guy. He does not like drama, he speaks quietly, and he must think highly enough of himself to believe that he does not have to try very hard to impress New York. He is taking the 'lay back and wait for her to come to you' approach. I doubt it will work on the needy New York.

New York acted a total diva and was completely obnoxious and rude to Tango's mother in the last episode. I have a hard time believing that someone would want to date a person who acted that way to their mother.

Who do you think New York will choose?

"I am torn between what my hearts needs and what my hearts wants.."
-I Love New York's Tiffany Pollard

Chance From 'I Love New York' and His Son

Ricky 'Romance' Perillo of VH1's "I Love New York"

Dr. Hottie magazine talked to Ricky 'Romance Perillo and asked him how he has been since leaving 'I Love New York'.

He has something to say about New York, rival 12 Pack, and his bitch situation.

    by Kamah Alicia Scott

The first thing Dr. Hottie asked Romance was 'Have you always been good looking?'

"Yeah, I have. I'm always fresh and no one has a swagger like mine."

We had to laugh out loud at his subtle narcissism. This Italian Stallion was a high school track star and captain of his football team. Romance undeniably showed a different side of himself during this interview than what was shown on the drama-filled 'I Love New York' VH1 reality show.

"They edited a lot and showed me basically as a super sensitive guy. I don't have any regrets, though. I am sensitive and it's nothing wrong with that. Romance got disturbingly emotional when he began to tell Ms. New York about the untimely demise of his other woman. Yes, the bitch in question was his pet, Princess.

As Ms. New York listened intently, Romance told her "I will treat you just like I treated her."

    This is one deep brother.

"I am intense at times but I can be funny, too. I loved my dog, though."

Romance took some slack for his extreme passion. No one could question the love that man had for his pup. We bet if DMX was on the show with the same plight, all the background trash talking would've been silenced immediately. Everyone knows DMX goes hard for his dogs and will pop a cap in anybody who's got a problem with it. Maybe you should try that next time, Romance. Get a little gangsta! We know you have it in you!

Before the bright lights and instant recognition, Romance was simply minding his own business.

"I was on vacation when I was, I guess, scouted for the show. It was my 21st birthday and I was just kickin' it on the beach. The people at VH1 have some damn good taste because, say what you want, Romance is fine!

"Before this I was a waiter. I always got good tips and a little extra attention from the ladies. I was a favorite."

Extra what Romance? Don't be bashful.

"I've had women fighting [over me]; boyfriends starting trouble because they were jealous. It's not my fault women love gentlemen. I don't think chivalry is dead. Most of us men are just out of practice.

"I am Romance. I love dogs but I'm not a dog, ya know? I'm not into flings or one night stands. I've never been that type of guy. "

Okay, so he doesn't throw his goods around. We can respect that. A man that respects his part. You can't help but clap to that.

On his plans: "It's all a work in progress but I know I was born with a gift. Others are trying to act, trying to get what I got. I was born with the 'it' factor. I've got it."

Romance admits he would love to model his trademark designer shades or take on roles that are respected like those of Brad Pitt's. He definitely has the look; can't wait to see the action.

"If something is wrong, I have to show it. I have a serious side, as well as, a humorous side. But I am real. I have to be me. If something hurts me, more than likely, it will show. I'm not a pretender and I'm not a liar."

    Now we're getting somewhere.

12-Pack called Romance a liar and a rat, as Romance dished to New York that 12-Pack has a girlfriend back home and was only on the show for the 15 minutes of fame.

"Yeah! 12-Pack was pissed. I wasn't lying though. It was true. If he hadn't said it, I wouldn't have repeated it. He was there to play a game. I was there to fall in love."

All is fair in love and war and Romance doesn't consider himself a snitch. Although he says he doesn't "...just go around knocking it out, hitting one girl and moving on to the next."

Well, guess what? There is a new bitch in his life.

"She is a Terrier and her name is Bella. It means beautiful in Italian. She's worth about $3,200 but, to me, she's priceless. The ladies love her as much as I do. Women are drawn to men that have pets. Sue me, but I actually take care of mine. I even watch the 'Dog Whisperer.' My ex-girlfriend used to come over just to walk her."

So that's how he keeps them hangin' on.

"Regardless of what 12-Pack or whoever else says, I didn't go out like Pootie. I was in the house for 2 weeks but I'm still relevant. I'm in tabloids, blogs, whatever. When asked how he felt about the negativity and the haters he replied 'If no one talks about you, that's when it's a problem. I've seen things in US Weekly, People, you name it. I love it. I know who I am. New York missed out but it's all good.'"

We're sure it is because Romance is still doing his thing. The controversy is just that. Controversy. But it sure does keep us on the edge of our seats.

He did reiterate that he harbors no hard feelings toward anyone in the house. "It is what it is, ya know. Some were there for her, some weren't."

That's right Romance, no use cryin' over spilled milk.

"Some guys front like they're hard asses. They are so tough. I was Romance. She had no reason to vote me off. It was her choice, I guess. I hope she isn't hurt. If she would have stuck with me she would have found out that I don't have sex, I make love."

On a final note, Romance wants everyone to know, "I love a woman with curves so if ya know someone, let me know."

    Any takers?

I Love New York's Main Tranny And Her Mom = Delusional

You may think I'm mean for calling New York a tranny, well... I can be, did it take you this long to catch on?

New York's makeup emulates that of a tranny, her fake eyelashes are longer than my pubes (why did I go there? I dunno), and she dresses like a $20 hooker on her good days. But despite New York's undiscovered talent, continuous chain smoking and tangled horse weaves, I like her.

She never fails to entertain me. And her show is horrible, but that's okay too. The train wreck didn't know it was gonna suck and I guess she thought the dudes she picked were decent?! Anywho who, here's some excerpts from her article in Star magazine.
no baggage: "flavor flav [who twice chose new york as first runner-up on flavor of love] was not a good choice for my daughter. i'm sure he's a decent, kind, loving individual, but he has lots of family responsibilities, and she's a young lady with no children and no ties. she needs to be free.'

    new york comes first:
"the perfect guy must be "tender, kind, generous and want to have a wonderful relationship and a family with my daughter. and he must not cheat!'

love your fans: "i don't go out much, but when i do i gets lots of love - hugs, kisses, whatever. i find it to be extreme, but i'm enjoying it.'

what sister wants: "i am not a married woman, and that's all i'd like to say about my dating status right now. my man first and foremost has to love me - and my children - totally. and he has to be super-filthy, freakin' rich! '

VH1's 'I Love New York'

    Okay, okay.

I have been meaning to make a great big post about VH1's 'I Love New York' since the season premiere a few weeks back. I better get to it before the season is over. Damn time flies.

(Now keep in mind when I wrote this I have yet to finish this weeks episode-I'm finishing the DVR tonight so I have NO IDEA who is getting let go..)

The season premiere sort of freaked me out. I thought I was going to hate the show. Although it has in a way grown on me, it still does not carry the dramatics that 'Flavor of Love' did. But obviously there is no way that men can possibly create as catty a reality show as women can. So, duh, I should have known that going into it.

    First impressions?

My first impression of Mr. Boston was, oh my gawd, what is this poor white boy doing there? He seemed far to dweebish to even be on the show. I had no idea how this guy would even be able to compete with the others. But a few shows into it, I sort of see the personality coming out in this guy. He's funny. And funny is good. My only hesitation now is the fact that he stated on the VH1 site that he has cheated on every single girlfriend he's ever dated. Not cool Bostontonio! Care to comment?

Onix. Whoa, what a hottie. This guy (so far) seems to have it all. He's got manner, a bod and a personality to boot. So what is his flaw? Only time will tell...or not!

The notorious Chance. I have to admit, I could NOT stand Chance in the beginning. When I saw him go off on Sister Patterson (who I think is whack anyhow) I immediately did not like him. He came off as brash, ghetto and rude. All I know is that if that had been my momma, mofo would have been GONE! But since then he has mellowed, and seems cool, but I still got on eye on him.

Chance's brother Real seems very...real. One kool kat, doesn't feel the need to impress or overwhelm, and that's hella cool in a guy. But he may be lacking in theatrics, which is something that I think our dear New York needs.

Bonez. I was sad to see that mofo leave. But New York was right. She would have corrupted that sweet ass.

The steroid child of the house, 12 Pack. 12 Pack is way too self absorbed, and seemingly only in it for the competitive side of things. I would bet my 401K, life savings and IRA's all to the fact that this boy is in it for the exposure. And besides, he's too damn pretty.

Heat..the Italian Stallion or whatever he is. This guy irritates me only because he is so easy to predict. Nothing about him excites me or stands out. Next!

The craziest mofo of the house, Pootie. Thank goodness they sent that brother home. There was serious mental instability going on in that noggin of his. Throwing himself downstairs , having a complete breakdown on the show..it makes you wonder who did the casting for 'I Love New York'. Warning signs..? Any...?

Rico Suave. Rico is a hottie who seems like a pretty cool guy to hang out with. He's a total hottie, and seems really sweet. If only I could believe that he was genuinely interested in New York..

Then there is Tango. I'm not sure what to think of Tango. So I don't really.

The brokest motherfucker on the show, Tweed. That bitch claimed to have over $100 million in assets. He couldn't just say $10 million or $1 million...bitch had to call out $100 million. You just knew he was full of shit when he pulled that number out of his ass.

Whiteboy seems cool. He just lost a great friend last week, and that was the most real I have seen the show be since it's premiere. He seems cool, but after seeing him go off about Pootie, I think he may have a chip on his shoulder.

Okay did I forget anyone? Oh well if I did.

There's my wrap up of the guys on VH1's 'I Love New York'. I still would bet my booty that New York will end up with Chance, because he's all 'thug' like she likes, and he disrespects her mother. Seems like a match made in heaven to me

Interview with Tiffany Patterson, aka 'New York'

Tonight is the long awaited Season Premiere of "I Love New York".

I found this interview with New York on VH1 and they also have the entire first episode on their site. It will no doubt be an interesting show, and I will definitely be watching!

How has life been since Flavor of Love blew up, on a day-to-day basis? Are you ever mobbed?

There are times when I wake up in the morning and I forget that I am quote-unquote New York. But once I hit the scene and I leave my front door, I am quickly reminded that I am New York. I get mobbed. I get asked to sign underwear. I get asked to sign skin. People don't have paper, they're asking me to sign their flesh. It's crazy, but I love it.

What's the weirdest thing anyone's ever requested?

This woman, in the ladies' room, asked me to pee in her drink so that she could drink it down and be something like me. I'm like, "Lady, are you serious? You have to pay me to do something like that!"

Any harassment ever? Does anyone get aggressive with you, since you're such a divisive character?

Never. The feedback has been 100 percent positive.

    How have the men been?

Guys always want to one-up Flav and say they're better, try to prove it. I have to turn them down quickly, because it's not that they want to date me, they just have something to prove. I also think sometimes I intimidate them because they saw my personality on television and how things were between me and Flav.

Any drawbacks to fame that you've seen?

No. I can't remember the last time I paid for a meal or to go through the entrance way of a club. But, a lot of females have been hitting on me since the show and it's a little crazy for me to deal with that. But I'm flattered!

When we last saw your mom, she was storming out of the house during the finale of Flavor of Love 2. She was angry that you chose to stay with Flav instead of leaving with her. What happened between then and now?

When my mom found out I didn't win a second time, she didn't say, "I told you so." She didn't say, "You were silly for staying." All she basically did was outstretch her arms for me to fall into her bosom. She was there for me to pick me up. My mom was there to support me because she knows I'm strong-minded.

And why are you having her on I Love New York?

I value my mom's opinion very strongly when it comes to love.

This is your third time to appear on a television dating show. Do you think of TV as an effective way of finding a mate?

Well, I definitely have to say it is a modern way of meeting someone. You have the Internet that you can use to find love, and now it's readily available on the television. So meeting someone via TV is the norm. It's 2007, so I'm all for it.

Did you ever use the Internet?

Oh, hell no. Guys flock to me. They've always flocked to me and they will continue to flock to me.
