Star Magazine Alters Photograph of Jennifer Aniston for Cover Story

Star Magazine recently published this cover of Jennifer Aniston.

The cover story is about Jen possibly having a $5M deal on a tell-all about her years with Brad Pitt. Jennifer's publicist has denied the story, saying the allegations are just not true.

Which is probably the case being as the photo Star used for their cover was altered to suggest she was carrying a manuscript. And you know, it's Star Magazine.

Now Radar Online has uncovered the photos of Jennifer Aniston before they were doctored. Read for yourself..

"Seeing is believing, as Star magazine knows. That's why it illustrated its cover story about "Jen's $5 Million Tell-All!" with a shot of Jennifer Aniston carrying what is plainly the manuscript she's allegedly shopping around to publishers about her days with Brad Pitt.

But hang on—maybe Jen's not really writing a book? In which case, maybe Star's cover actually shows something else—say, Aniston attending an auction, holding an art catalog from Los Angeles Modern Auctions? And maybe Star simply airbrushed out the cover of the catalog, along with a pair of sunglasses she was holding, for good measure?

Yeah, that sounds more plausible. Especially coming from the company that brought you Andy Roddick's digitally enhanced pythons.

Asked about the manipulation, an AMI spokesperson said, "Every magazine in this category chooses cover photos that best describe the story."

Jessica Alba Wants You to Get Past Her 'Hotness'

    It's hard being beautiful.

    Source
At least that's what Jessica Alba thinks. Alba says she is tired of being appreciated only for her looks, and she thinks it's time she is taken seriously as an actress.

"I hope all my new work will help producers in getting past my hotness."

If this sounds familiar it's because Jessica Biel also said virtually the same thing recently.

Alba goes on to say she is shy and does not like to attract attention. "I try not to make the headlines. I'm self-conscious about this. I try to not make my presence known.

"I have my own fashion style and do not try to fit in. I don't have my breasts under my chin, I'm not showing butt cheeks, nor much legs. I don't go for the trendiest look."

But she will show nearly everything in next month's GQ. Go figure.

Lindsay Lohan vs. The Paparazzi

This is a great article and the photographs are super snazzy. Thanks to Radar Online for allowing us to republish it.

    Paparazzi Facts:

    * In the last 15 years, the number of paparazzi in L.A. has increased more than tenfold

*On any given day, 300 to 400 paps roam the streets of L.A. on behalf of 20 or so agencies

The evening of March 13 was just another Tuesday night for Lindsay Lohan. She spent a few hours at Butter in Manhattan—where the line for nobodies stretches around the block and blood orange Bellinis go for $14—sporting a brave face on the eve of her ne'er-do-well father's release from prison.

Around 3 a.m., she and some friends hopped in her mother's white 2004 BMW as the paparazzi gave chase. Pursued by at least two cars, she careened through lower Manhattan, putting the Beemer's famed facility for cornering to the test. Pulling into the valet lane in front of Hotel Gansevoort in the West Village, she found herself blocked in and surrounded by photographers.

To judge by video aired by Access Hollywood, the scene rapidly devolved into mayhem, with gawkers and paparazzi shouting Lohan's name as she sat trapped in the driver's seat. Then, depending on whom you ask, one of two things happened: Either Lohan decided to run over a paparazzo named Giovanni Arnold, or Arnold, who was perched on the hood of Lohan's car snapping pics, smelled a lawsuit and took a dive in front of her BMW as she edged forward.
"Oh my God! Lindsay, you hit somebody," the photographers shouted, addressing the starlet like concerned friends.

Arnold wound up at St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was treated for a bruised knee, and clips of the incident were on the Internet within hours. Days later, Lohan's mother, Dina, told Harper's Bazaar that "Diana will happen again" (referring to the Princess of Wales' death during a paparazzi car chase), and hinted darkly that her daughter might be next.

The Hotel Gansevoort incident was just one in a seemingly endless series of confrontations in recent months between the paparazzi and the celebrities whose every move they chronicle.

Just this past November, Lohan suffered cuts and bruises after being rear-ended by a paparazzo in Los Angeles at 2 a.m. on her way home from a night of clubbing.

In February, Britney Spears had a well-documented breakdown, the highlight of which was her umbrella-swinging rampage against photographers from the X17 photo agency. According to X17, Spears had just been prevented by Kevin Federline from seeing her children when she went after a photographer's car, spitting and screaming, "Go fuck yourself!"

Just hours before, while stopped at a gas station, an obviously distressed Spears had sat passively in the passenger seat of a Mercedes as a photographer snapped half a dozen shots through the windshield while attempting to console her: "How you doing?" Click. "You doing okay?" Click. Click. "I'm concerned about you though, okay?" Click.

And in March, in a Los Angeles church parking lot of all places, a security guard leveled a pistol at another X17 photographer on Britney detail after the cameraman ignored a traffic cop's instruction to stop and wait for Spears's vehicle to leave before exiting the lot.

That same week, Princess Di's son Harry allegedly lunged at a photographer while leaving a London nightclub and wound up sprawled on the pavement. Lohan's mother is right: Someone will likely be killed again. And when they are, the shot will be priceless.

Michelle Rodriguez Talks About Being Outed by 'Curve' Magazine

Michelle Rodriguez wrote on her website about being featured on the cover of Curve, a lesbian magazine.

From Michelle's website: "As far as rumors go of me coming out, I guess Curve magazine took it upon themselves to out me on the premise of their own suspicions.

"Whatever, I'm not insulted, I have a big lesbian following, and for whatever reasons they show me love. I'm never going to shun, disrespect or neglect anybody who shows me genuine non-psychotic love."

"I will say this: To put words in someone's mouth and place people in categories affects them for sure, especially in this business...I don't know what the intent behind the Curve magazine cover was. I wasn't informed of it, I had no idea they were planning on using my image to sell magazines."

"If I wanted people to know what I do with my vagina I would have released a sex video a long time ago. Yet I haven't done that."

Michelle thinks that being labeled as a lesbian would hinder her career. "There are certain things that can close doors between a celebrity and certain audiences. ... If I were Ellen [DeGeneres] I may get away with the 'I'm gay' level of exposure, but I'm not a comedian, I like men (real ones anyway) and I've only been in this business for seven years, not 20."

The Curve article does not say specifically that Rodriguez is gay, but many on the internet assumed that she had officially outed herself.

Curve executive editor Diane Anderson-Minshall told People Magazine: "I am sorry that Michelle Rodriguez feels like we've outed her. If she would read the article, she could see that is simply not true. Our intention was definitely not to do that. We simply wanted to pay homage to an actress that has been on our 'Top 5 Wish List' (of celebrities our readers want to read more about) for several years."

America Ferrera Talks To W Magazine

America Ferrera tells W magazine what it’s like being a curvaceous woman in Hollywood.

“I mean, of course I want to be at a weight where I’m happy. There are times when I go to the gym and really try, and there are times when I just don’t. I gain a pound; I lose a pound. But I think I’ve developed a really good sense of when I’m doing something for myself as opposed to when I’m doing something because of other people’s expectations of me. And honestly, even if I wanted to be anorexic, I just don’t have what it takes. After four hours of being anorexic, I’d be like, ‘It’s been four whole hours! Feed me!’”

To view behind the scenes footage of America Ferrera’s photo shoot with W, please visit www.wmagazine.com.

ON THE TABLOIDS ANNOUNCING THAT SHE AND BOYFRIEND RYAN PIERS WILLIAMS GOT ENGAGED

“It’s totally not true! And his mom called me and my sisters were calling me, and I was like, ‘Are you kidding? Did you not think I would tell you first?’ And then I put out a statement that it wasn’t true, and that became a whole news story. So now it’s news when something doesn’t happen? Like, news flash: California did not get hit by a hurricane today.”

ON NOT BEING OFFERED LEADING ACTING ROLES DESPITE HER RECENT SUCCESSES

“When it comes to envisioning an actor in a role that they haven’t seen them in, people in this business can be a little uncreative. No one is willing to take a gamble…It’s been more about developing my own material, finding roles that I would like to play and figuring out a way to get those things made.”

ON TRYING TO ENJOY THE MOMENT

“The hardest part of this year has been learning to enjoy it. It’s almost like a full-time job reminding myself to live in the moment and not look for more, more, more…I see now that people who make movies, this world of creative geniuses that I grew up idolizing, are just normal people who wanted to do something and made it happen. Everything that’s happened to me in the last year has only made me feel more like a normal person, more human, but in the most beautiful way.”

ON HAVING ‘A MINI NERVOUS BREAKDOWN’ AFTER HER FIRST SHOW BIZ EXPERIENCE ON THE DISNEY CHANNEL MOVIE GOTTA KICK IT UP

“I just felt really empty. I had achieved my dream, and it wasn’t totally fulfilling. I still had school problems, and I still had boy problems. My life was still my life. I guess I had been waiting to be turned into a swan.”

ON BEING HONDURAN AND GROWING UP IN A CAUCASION NEIGHBORHOOD

“As early as second grade I remember feeling really different and isolated. I had the hugest crush on a boy, and my best friend had a crush on him too. One day he said to me, ‘I like your best friend more because she’s paler and she has freckles.’ And it was right then that I began to feel like, Oh wow, I’m different.”

ON NOT FITTING IN WITH THE LATINO COMMUNITY

“I mean, I grew up in the Valley. All my friends were white Jewish kids. So the Latino kids thought I was this white girl.”

    ON HAVING FIVE SIBLINGS

“Growing up, I never had a ton of friends. I always had two or three, but when you have four sisters and a brother all a year apart, you don’t really need anyone else to play with…I learned the naughty words before anyone else in my class. And I think I avoided many of the pitfalls because I got to watch them live through it.”
    O

N HER PARENTS NOT SUPPORTING HER DREAMS OF BECOMING AN ACTRESS

“Acting was not something that they came to this country to have me do… For a time I thought I could be a lawyer. As a kid I even went to law camp at UCLA. They had us watch My Cousin Vinny, which was great. But then we went to the courthouse, and we had to do these mock trials, and once I saw what it really meant to be a lawyer, I realized that it wasn’t for me. I thought it was like in the movies, like, ‘You can’t handle the truth!’ That kind of thing.”

ON BEING APPROACHED BY SALMA HAYEK TO STAR AS ‘UGLY BETTY’

“Honestly I never saw myself doing TV, but Salma was so convincing. Salma is the kind of person who could sell you, like, a used stereo. She promised me that it would be done in the right way, and I just trusted her.”

    ON GETTING A COLLEGE DEGREE

“Acting is something I knew I wanted to do long term. But not going to college was not an option. I think it probably helped me as an actress as well, because actresses need real-life experiences to draw from.”

    ON WHAT HAPPINESS IS

“Happiness is something that you have to decide to have in your life. No amount of accolades can make you a happy person, and learning that as young as I did was a gift.”

    ON HER AMBITIONS

“When there’s a film I want to do, sleep doesn’t matter. Part of me would love to be sitting in the sun in Italy, but I’d be crazy by day four.”

50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America

Perez Hilton beat out Jodie Foster?!

    Someone's smoking crack!

When New York did a "Gay Life Now" issue in 2001, only seven of the forty prominent New York gays asked to pose for the cover were willing. Those big shots may have been gay, and they may have been out, but it just wouldn't do for them to be gay and out on the cover of a magazine.

"There was a time when the closet was a necessary safe haven," our pal Maer Roshan, who edited the issue, wrote in an angry 2,000-word essay. "But now, it exists as an anachronistic monument to shame. It's time for our public figures to stop hiding in there — and for journalists to stop helping them."

Six years and a month later, maybe at least that second part has come true. Here's a first glimpse at the cover of Out magazine's "50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America" issue. Those are models holding Jodie Foster and Anderson Cooper masks on the cover. Neither, of course, would appear themselves.

Justin Timberlake Hates Gossip Rags

Justin Timberlake says the tabloids create games that he doesn't want to play.

I think it would be safe to assume that he hates gossip blogs as well.

Timberlake told Details magazine, "I despise what they do. They create soap operas out of people's lives. It's a spin game, and I choose not to take part in it."

Especially when it comes to his love life and ex-girlfriends.

"I would never say anything bad about anyone. I love a lot of those people."

Anna Wintour Hates Blogs

Anna Wintour is desperately seeking another term for 'blog'.

According to a Vogue staff member, "They are expanding the Vogue Web site and getting more involved with the Internet. But Anna hates the word 'blog' so much, she refuses to call anything on her site a blog and has charged her staff with coming up with a new word that isn't as garish-sounding. She wants it ASAP - in time for launch."

However, a source close to Wintour said, "Anna just doesn't want people to refer to stories as blogs, because they're not. It's an improper use of the word." A rep said, "Anna has nothing against blogs."

Julie Bowen Talks of Her Pregnancy

    Julie Bowen
(Happy Gilmore, Lost, Boston Legal) talks of her changing body, food cravings and her career with Pregnancy magazine.

On her changing body: “I have boobs now! I always had two pepperonis on board and I’m shocked to see the changes in my body. I’m also experiencing rapid hair growth. I feel like a Yeti.”

    On her food cravings:
“I had a meltdown because the local 7-Eleven store was out of the Smartfood White Cheddar Cheese Flavored Popcorn that I had been craving.”

On juggling her career and motherhood: “
Our show (Boston Legal) is very baby-friendly, so I’ll probably bring my baby to work and have a nanny to help out in my trailer when I’m on the set. I’m planning to breastfeed and to also do a lot of pumping!”

On her new movie, Sex and Death 101:
“It’s a funky, crazy independent film. I star opposite Simon Baker [from The Devil Wears Prada], and yes, I got to kiss him! Simon plays Roderick Blank, a guy who has his life turned upside down when he receives an email with the names of all the people he’s had sex with in the past and all the people he will have sex with in the future. I play his fiancée who he does end up dumping!”

Maxim's Top 9 Movie T-Shirts

Chris Daughtry in LIFE Magazine

You're on a U.S. tour with your band. What can't you leave home without?
A picture of my wife [Deanna], my computer, razors for my head, a Bible . . . and I obviously have to get the clothes right.

Do you have any preshow rituals?
Normally I do push-ups. I’ve been told that when you get the blood flowing through your body, you have more energy to sing better.

How many pushups can you do?
I don’t know. I just do three or four sets of 30. Who knows, it may even make me look better onstage.

What made a rocker like you want to get married at age 20?
I felt like I didn’t need to look anymore, that this was the person I was supposed to be with. If you know that, then you just go with it.

Do your kids (Hannah, 10, and Griffin, 8) like to rock out?
Absolutely. My daughter loves Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

Then surely you could introduce her.
There are so many singers my daughter wants to use me for—Hilary Duff, everybody in High School Musical, Hannah Montana. You name it, she’s all over it.

Interview with Sarah Silverman

From The Advocate March 13, 2007
    By Brandon Voss

Your show satirizes some pretty racy topics. Did the folks at Comedy Central ever try to censor you?

There were definitely days where I was like, Those fucking assholes! But a lot of their notes, even if I disagreed with them, made us come up with something we liked even more. Plus, the precedent that South Park alone set makes it so hard for Standards and Practices to have many arguments. That show really opened so many doors in terms of what you can get away with on that channel.

Yeah, I recently heard the c word on a Comedy Central stand-up special.

You can say anything, even “cunt,” after 1 a.m. And there’s a lot you can also get away with after 10 p.m., which is why we’re at 10:30 p.m. We can’t say “cunt,” but that’s OK.

What was the idea behind casting comedians Brian Posehn and Steve Agee as your bearish gay neighbors?

We knew we wanted them to be together—roommates, brothers, whatever—and it just organically felt right that they were lovers. I just love them because they’re obviously against any stereotype, but not gratuitously. They both play it so honestly, and you really feel like these two characters love each other. And the comedy comes from the circumstances—it doesn’t necessarily come from the fact that these two big slobs are a gay couple.

Do you have a lot of gay friends in real life?

No, none! [Laughs] Yeah, of course. I have a lot of gay friends, but my two closest gay friends are both comedians. One is a woman, Tig Notaro, who actually stars in episode 5, where I decide I’m a lesbian and I’m in love with her. And the other one is a guy, but the only time I can really tell he’s gay is when we play video games, because whenever he’s getting killed he’s like— [shrieks].

Is the lesbian episode based on your own experimentation?

No, I never did. I’ll admit it’s so exciting to think of, but I love boring cock.

Have you ever gotten any flak from gay groups who can’t take a fag joke or an AIDS joke?

Nah, the gays have the best sense of humor. We actually have an AIDS episode coming up where I wake up with a case of the blahs and decide I need some good news. So I get an AIDS test, because of course I don’t have AIDS, but once I get the test I convince myself I have it and start a whole AIDS awareness movement that’s really based on my pictures on posters. But I think that will go over well.

What would you do if your boyfriend, Jimmy Kimmel, came out of the closet?

I’d be devastated! He’s my life partner! I’d probably have to get a sex change and try to woo him. If he weren’t my boyfriend, I’d be totally supportive.

Is it true that you aren’t going to marry Jimmy until gays in the U.S can marry?

Absolutely true. I don’t want this government to be any part of our love, so I have no interest in getting married. What makes it less wrong than when interracial marriage was illegal? It’s fucking barbaric.

Did you make that statement before Brad Pitt did?

I did say it before Brad Pitt. I said it a long time ago. Actually, someone e-mailed to tell me when Brad Pitt said it, and there was a part of me that was mad! But then I was like, Why would I be mad? It’s a good thing. I don’t have to own that.

Breaking News: Audioslave to Split Up

Rolling Stone is saying that there is a 99.9% chance of Audioslave Breaking Up.

    Chris Cornell
sent out a press release announcing the release of his new solo album Carry On and also announcing that he’s leaving Audioslave.

“Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors.”

So once again this leaves the ex-Rage members without a front man.

Could Rage Against the Machine or even Soundgarden reunite as if they were never apart?

    I wish.
